At MyFamilyAbroad (MFA), trust, safety, and respect are the foundations of our community. We facilitate homestay immersion experiences, often involving minors from age 12, which requires a high standard of conduct and genuine commitment from every Member.

This Code of Conduct defines the mandatory rules, behavioral expectations, and consequences applicable to all Members, on the MFA Platform and in all community spaces (WhatsApp, direct communications, physical stays).

Any violation may result in immediate suspension or permanent exclusion from MFA.

1. MFA Core Values

1.1 People First

MFA is a community of trusted families. Every action has a direct impact on other families and on Young People. We act with care, kindness, and responsibility.

1.2 Total Respect

Always apply the following test: "Would this behavior be acceptable at my best friend's grandmother's home?" If the answer is no, the behavior is not acceptable at MFA.

1.3 Over-Communicate

Homestay immersion involves different habits and rules. When in doubt: ask, explain, write it down. Transparency prevents conflicts.

1.4 Give to Get

MFA is based on a contribution model. Reliability, honesty, and commitment strengthen the experience for the entire community.

2. General Community Rules

These rules apply: on the MFA Platform, in all exchanges related to a stay, in community spaces (WhatsApp, etc.), before, during, and after stays.

2.1 Privacy

• It is prohibited to contact another Member through personal channels (social media, private email, phone) without explicit mutual consent.
• It is prohibited to share or publish sensitive information: addresses, access codes, schools, specific locations, personal information about Young People.

2.2 MFA Circumvention Prohibition

• It is strictly prohibited to organize a stay, exchange, or payment outside MFA with a family met through the Platform.
